Bio:
My name is Tammy Benton-Zamora and the main medium I work with is acrylics and mixed media. I was born in Canton, Ohio, raised in Louisville, KY, and currently reside in Oklahoma. My interest in art started at a early age of about five, using crayons and a paint by number oil paint set. I always made art throughout my life but not seriously enough until 2019 when I quit my job and have been painting and learning techniques by experimenting, reading books, and watching videos. The look to my art is textured. I use Plaster of Paris, paint, layers of paper, cardboard, and sometimes fabric to make certain textures depending on what I'm working on. Impressionism, modern contemporary, and fantasy art has influenced my art.
