Bio:

Recently my work is has been a reflection of how memory is perceived and altered over time. How the world was presented to me by mass media as I was growing up versus the reality of the world around me at the time. The current work features quite a bit of distorted and obscured visuals, as though the subject is being broadcast from a million miles away, distorted by time and a degraded signal lost to distance and the fading of the original view.

Earlier work on my website shows a fascination with pulp magazines from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, primarily men's magazines that would be found in grocery store and drug store magazine racks. In the earlier work headlines were cut up and rearranged to create even more absurd titles and there is a humorous look at masculinity and what was the original "Click Bait" for the time.
